Summer programs for high schoolers (and even some younger students, too) are a great way to fill the days, expand your learning opportunities and even get a feel for the college you might want to attend. Some programs are drop-off for the day or for the whole week. Check out these opportunities coming 2017.

Summer Programs for High Schoolers
South Carolina’s Governor’s School for Arts and Humanities, Greenville, SC
Summer students experience the challenges and rewards of intensive arts training. The faculty for our Summer Arts Programs is made up of practicing artists dedicated to nurturing creative potential. While learning discipline and craft, students form bonds with emerging artists in all five art areas. Students apply and audition to attend summer programs. Must audition, too.

South Carolina’s Governor’s School for Math and Science, Hartsville, SC
Our Duke Energy Center for Science Education & Outreach is a statewide resource invested in hands-on, minds-on, STEM-based programming and enrichment initiatives. GSSM’s outreach efforts annually impact approximately 10,000 students and teachers statewide through a variety of unique offerings, including camps and workshops.

Trident Tech Summer Camps, Charleston, SC
Kid’s College and Teen University. Who says learning and creativity should be just for grown-ups? Trident Technical College’s Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development offers a variety of summer camps and year-round weekend courses that foster imagination, creativity and talent.

Furman University Summer Scholars, Greenville, SC
If you want to do something really incredible with your summer, come to Furman, stay on campus, and be a part of Summer Scholars. Rising high school seniors and juniors participate in classes led by Furman professors and get a taste of college life.

Get ahead this summer and earn college credit with academically-motivated students from around the world in Duke University’s Summer College for High School Students. This 4-week credit-bearing program offered by Duke University attracts students who represent the next generation of leaders from around the world.
