Homeschoolers are frequently asked these questions:
What about socialization? Support groups offer a variety of meet-ups and field trip opportunities. Co-ops, Resource programs, and churches offer classes where learning and social interaction occur. Homeschoolers may also find employment or volunteer service for their social development.
What about special needs? School districts may offer services to assist students with special needs, including screening tests to identify special needs. Private schools and other programs also offer a variety of services and screening tests to assist homeschoolers. See Resources page for links.
Is homeschooling expensive? Raising kids is expensive, no matter what educational choices a family has. Homeschooling curriculum and classes can add up. But, there are also less expensive options, such as used curriculum and co-op classes.
